| This page is dedicated to the convolution reverb. A number of high quality
Impulse Responses (IRīs) is available here for use with the convolution plug-ins
such as Voxengo Pristine Space, SIR-Impulse Response Processor and similar.Churches only, please...All IRīs presented here feature various churches, cathedrals, chapels and similar buildings which usually have huge reverbs. Our IRīs were designed with the organ music in mind. For this reason, the location of sound sources and positioning of the microphones were set so as to capture the typical positions of various organ divisions within the church. There are artificial IRīs as well as measured IRīs, all designed and manufactured to meet the expectations of hi-end users. There is virtually no noise, hiss, hum or any other unwanted signal inherent in the IRīs (see the acoustic parameters for each impulse), our IRīs do not suffer from over-brightness or bass-surplus which are most common defects of many commercial (even very expensive) IRīs. As a sound source, we used Peavey speaker with flat response (+-3dB) within the audible frequency spectrum. To capture the sound, Schoeps CMC6 (xt) with MK4, MK2 and MK5 microphone capsules were used with the RME Fireface 800 as a pre-amp. The amplifier used was Carver PM-120. If you are uncertain which IR to choose, read the article How to select IR. If you do not know how to use the chosen IR to add a digital reverberation to your music, read the article How to use IR. Or, very simply download our plentiful demo IRīs and experiment with them before you decide to purchase anything. The IRīs presented on this web page were designed especially for the virtual organ models by Sonus Paradisi and Hauptwerk.cz. AuthorThe author of all the IRīs presented on this web site is ing. Karel Kvaca, a friend of the Sonus Paradisi team. |
